Switching from MS Money to Quicken, and starting from scratch, has helped to light a fire under me to perform a total review of our finances. That, and the fact that the wife has a new job.

So I have spent the past few weeks closing accounts, consolidating accounts, getting new credit cards with lower rates...and now opening an IRA.

I really do want to retire some day. And the sooner the better.
