There has to be some reason why our instructor loves to put us in downward facing dog so much???
Today's session was one of the toughest, but best, 80 minute classes yet.

Not really sure what the problem is. Possibly just getting back into the groove of normal life after a week of 2nd shift, a week of visitors/vacation, and a week of anticipation of the wife's new job.
The two of us have alternated between not being able to sleep and total exhaustion.

In this economy, even with her skills, it was a challenge. I'm very proud of her for being persistent and not getting discouraged.

I had my last dentist appointment for a while today. All filled, capped, drilled, flossed, scraped, and cleaned.

After one week on 2nd shift, then a somewhat unplanned week of vacation, tomorrow it's back to work.
I made this with some of the lemon peels from our harvest. Steeped for 5 days total. It's strong (made with vodka), but really tasty!

The week-long visit of the mom- and sis-in-law ended today. A week is just not long enough. It was a good time, with everyone enjoying the Grand Canyon, eating street-tacos, stealing oranges, squeezing dozens of lemons, and getting lots of sun. The weather was mid-high 70s and sunny all week. Once they left today, it was in the low 60s and rainy. The wife said Arizona was sad...and so were we.
A house across the street has been empty for a while. And I keep noticing their orange tree hanging over the fence, with HUGE oranges on it. Well, I couldn't stand it any longer. The sister-in-law, mother-in-law, and I went on a raid after dark...

from 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
I want to hike down next visit. The trails were ice-covered this trip. Figured -- probably not a good place to slip...

You see pictures all the time. Yet you cannot grasp the beauty and magnitude of the Grand Canyon until you see it in person. Truly amazing...

Before that, and hour and 20 minutes of yoga. Afterwards, lunch with friends. Followed by more cleaning, cooking (ham, garlic smashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus with Parmesan). Picking up the family in about 45 minutes. WHEW!

Challis Lane Cabernet '08
I really scored last sale. This was a good Cabernet, for what amounted to $5 per bottle. I'm happy they have it as part of the sale again. I'm picking up my case tomorrow!

After a psychotic cleaning session yesterday, I collapsed and the couch and watched my favorite movie. No matter how many times I watch this, I still feel my spirits uplifted afterwards.

Last night we went to see Hal Holbrook on stage in 'Mark Twain Tonight!' Academy Award nominee Holbrook has been doing this one-man show since 1954. It was a very good show, by a very good actor. I'm glad we got the chance to see this one.

We attended our first Saturday yoga session at Inside the Bungalow. It was an hour and twenty minutes, and whoa -- did it kick my......in a good way. It was probably the best yoga class that I have ever done. I can't wait to go again.
I found this place on Yelp. Being on a mostly-vegetable diet, I was intrigued by the reviews. After my first visit today, my wife and I have determined that this will be our weekly vegetable shopping place. Awesome prices!

After a dinner of sushi and Sapporo, it was back to cleaning. I really could afford a cleaning person, couldn't I?

It's Spring cleaning time! In anticipation of multiple guests in the next 6 weeks, I started a massive cleaning effort today. This is going to be a week-long adventure.
