Gourmet Food Day!

0

For lunch we are eating at America’s Taco Shop, voted best carne asada in Phoenix.

For dinner we are eating at Pizzeria Bianco, voted best pizza in Phoenix and declared best pizza in the NATION by Rachael Ray.

I took breakfast off (to save room).

Going to bed early...

0
I've been trying to go to bed the same time as my wife, who I always thought went to bed WAY too early. But it was nice...

Indoor Rock Climbing

0
My stepmom surprised the wife and I by sending us a day-pass to a local indoor rock climbing gym. We've tried it once in Illinois and it was a blast, if not a little nerve-wracking.

Last Day of Class

0
Yesterday was my last day of classes until my developer training is complete.

While I very reluctantly unenrolled, I think it was for the best. The upcoming almost four months of Java training is going to be hard to juggle with the not difficult but time consuming college classes.

I shall return!

France / Switzerland / Italy Trip Planning

0
The planning is coming along for a Paris, France / Zurich, Switzerland / Italy trip! It's going to be more than a year out, but at least it's being planned and shaping up.

Gatorade

Seems to be my chosen drink this summer. Not even beer will do.

Flagstaff This Weekend!

0
We're heading to Flagstaff for a yoga festival this weekend (www.flagstaffyogafestival.com). Friday afternoon we're going to explore a lava river cave (www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/recreation/peaks/lava-river-cave.shtml). Saturday = yoga. Sunday = breakfast and home.

Really looking forward to getting away. And Flagstaff is beautiful. And cooler!

Homework - Last Day of Class is Wednesday

I can't wait to get this over with!

Putting School On Hold

0
I am just not able to focus on both my degree and my upcoming months-long developer training. So, I decided to put school on hold until I am through training. I'd really like to focus on that and ramp up my programming skills.

School

0

I am seriously considering taking a break from school until after my developer training is complete.

Crave Artisan Ice Cream

0
I stopped by Whole Foods and picked up two flavors: Fresh Mint Chip and Lemon Strawberry Basil Sorbet. They were amazing!

The Fresh Mint Chip was different in the fact that you could tell it used fresh mint. The actual plant! It didn't have the processed mint flavoring most people are used to. My wife described it as Earthy.

And the sorbet was very good as well. The three flavors would not sound appealing to many, but trust me -- they blended well and it was a real treat to sit and eat the pint and dig out the little pieces of fresh basil mixed in.

I'm going back to try more flavors!

Getting excited!

Cancelling Denver Trip :-(

0
Airline prices have almost doubled since I first priced them. I know, I should have bought them first thing... Now the 3-day weekend total costs were just not worth it. Not for 3 days.
